Mr. Beil has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in trials, appeals, administrative proceedings, and arbitrations since 1986. He welcomes inquiries concerning alternative fee arrangements, including contingent fees. Mr. Beil has been plaintiff's counsel or co-counsel in a number of cases recently which have resulted in verdicts, arbitration awards, or settlements on behalf of his clients exceeding $600 million. These matters include representation of a local public utility in a product liability case to recover for the property damage and loss of use of its power generation facility resulting from a natural gas explosion; representation of a trustee in bankruptcy to recover damages for the destruction of business and lost profits of the debtor corporation, a tier-two supplier in the automative industry, resulting from the breach of a supply agreement; representation of construction contractors and sub-contractors on claims against owners for additional compensation and delay damages; representation of a statewide network of physicians on a claim for breach of a shareholder's purchase agreement; and representation of a Nigerian battery manufacturer against a large U.S.-based, worldwide manufacturer of batteries on claims of trademark infringement, breach of contract, and tortious interference with business expectancies arising out of the illegal importation of batteries from Nigeria. Mr. Beil has also successfully represented defendants in trials of claims for products liability, breach of warranty/UCC, breach of contract, fraud, breach of non-competition agreements, wrongful termination, and unfair trade practices. He has nationwide jury trial experience in state and federal court venues from Orange County, California to Bangor, Maine, including a number of trials in the state and federal courts in the Kansas City metropolitan area (Missouri and Kansas).
Mr. Beil graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1983 and obtained a J.D. with distinction from UMKC Law School in 1986, where he served on the UMKC Law Review, National Moot Court Team, and National Trial Team, and was elected to the Order of the Bench and Robe.
